I am a very good friend of Katy Huff's mother, Margaret Huff Smith. Katy is a wonderful young girl and has had a series of heart and lung problems.
Katy has been fighting for her life since 6 February, 2016. She was transported from Newport Hospital to Physicians Regional Hospital in Knoxville, TN. Her heart and lungs are giving out and she is in renal failure. She had a heart operation 2 years ago and an artifical valve was placed in her heart. The valve has deteriorated. Katy is septic. She cannot breathe on her own and is currently on a ventilator. The doctors and surgeons are not optimistic. Katy is only 28 years old!
The family is in dire need of funds to pay hospital expenses, hospital transport costs, transportation costs and food costs. There is no money! We are praying that Katy will pull through, but in the event that she doesn't, the funds will definately pay for additional expenses.
The family needs money now. So I am asking that if you can donate $5 or whatever is in your heart to give. It will be so greatly appreciated by this family. Katy's condition is taking a toll on her mother, Margaret. I can't imagine having one of my children in this condition, yet worrying about how I am going to pay the mounting bills.
