Aid in Trans health & affirmation for Lorenzo!

Hola my name is Lorenzo Castro and if you've made your way here, thank you for taking the time to read this.

I am a second-generation latino trans man, an artist and a creator. I've been on hormones since November of 2016, so at this point, this top surgery is much more than needed. Currently, I do not have insurance that qualifies me for a lower-cost surgery. 

Today I am writing to ask for your help in funding my top surgery and transition costs.

After consulting with my surgeon's office we've concluded the total for top surgery + deposit to be around $7000 + hotel and travel costs. I will additionally need a hysterectomy after I can get top surgery.

Along with my savings, I'm hoping to reach my goal. Please share, absolutely anything helps. Thank you all eternally for your support!

Update as of 5/19/21

Today My surgeon advised I would need a letter of approval from a therapist I've seen for 6 months or more. As all my previous sessions were in Idaho and did not meet for a total of six months, I will need to go through this again.

Hola everyone!

It’s been quite a while since I’ve posted an update so I thought I would take some time to catch everyone up.

As an independent artist I still currently do not have access to insurance. These funds will be used to help me get top surgery after waiting for over 11 years. In addition to top surgery, I will need a hysterectomy and upkeep for my hormones, doctor visits and therapy for surgery approval. Transitioning has cost me more money out of pocket than any other expense. I am asking for my community to uplift me and share this with as many avenues as possible! As always I appreciate the support more than anything!
