Kathryn Kloos Cancer Fundraiser

As a community of folks who dearly love Kathryn Kloos and her family, we are lifting up our voices to call out for support in this time of great need.

Kathryn has been diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. It happened very quickly, and we are all still processing the shock of it all.

Just a few days ago, Kathryn underwent a successful surgery to remove a large tumor and some nearby lymph nodes. The cancer may have spread to her liver, but thus far the imaging has been inconclusive. Once we get the results, she will begin a treatment plan that may include chemotherapy.

As a doctor, Kathryn's work brings in a significant percentage of the family's income, and we are unsure when she will be able to get back to work.

The family's health insurance requires them to pay a $9,000 deductible plus 20% of all the hospital bills. We are working to switch her to the Oregon Health Plan, which will make ongoing hospital needs a lot more financially manageable from here on out.

We want to raise as much money as we can to support Kathryn and her family. In particular, this money will go towards:

- medical bills

- homeowner costs: mortgage payment, insurance, etc

- groceries for their family of 4

Kathryn continues to be a beacon of light in this world for so many. We imagine that many of you can remember a time where she has lightened your spirit, brought a smile to your face, or helped you feel more trust in your capacity to heal.

Guided by her faith in the human capacity for transformation, Kathryn holds a deep space in her heart for the healing and awakening of all beings. Her warmth and kindness puts everyone at ease. She is a harmonizer, a welcomer, and a great companion on this path of life.
