Kinsey's Legacy

After multiple test, procedures and consults with doctors and clinics from all over the country and world, Kinsey has been diagnosed with a terminal, unspecified (at this time) mitochondrial DNA related condition.  The Neurology team at Children's Hospital has gone through Austin's previous medical records and have concluded that he also had this condition; one so rare and unseen prior to Kinsey and Austin.  Our goals and focus for Kinsey has understandably changed accordingly. Our need now is to give her the absolute best care and experiences as possible for the remaining weeks and/or months that she has left with comfort being the number one priority. We are going to be facing unknown medical expenses as well as "out of pocket" costs that our insurance provider may not cover moving forward with this care plan.  A plan that focuses 100% on her care and comfort; a not unreasonable request.  Due to "family history", Kinsey was also not eligible for life insurance when we looked into it; never thinking that we would be going through all of this again.  Any donation to "Kinsey's Legacy" is greatly appreciated, more than mere words can express, and will be used to cover medical expenses; for Kinsey to have a 24 hour sitter so that she is never alone; time off of work for Todd and I to spend as much time as possible with her; plan and prepare for her final Celebration of Life. Any donations after these expenses will be used at some point to continue Kinsey and Austin's Legacy of selfless caring and love.  Todd and I have been gifted with two of the absolute most perfect children ever created and I will forever be grateful for being their mother. Their beautiful, perfect souls have touched and changed countless people and I have made a personal commitment to continue to spread their message of selflessness, kindness, sharing and awareness.
