Frame for Gallery Exhibit

Donation protected
I got the amazing opportunity to have one of my photographs exhbited at the Smithsonian Institution's Ripley Center for their Artists at Work  2015 exhibit.

In order to get the piece presentable, I had to get it printed and framed. I worked with a really great print specialist who helped walk me through printing and mounting my first piece since high school. I choose metallic paper to bring out the shimmer of the clouds and reflections in the rock. The piece was then placed on an acrylic facemount with brackets on the back for hanging. The final piece is 28 inches by 8 inches and cost $286. A great friend already donated $20 so I only need $266 to break even.

I was not in a financial spot to afford the printing but how do you turn down the Smithsonian?

Thank you everyone for your help and if you're in DC, visit the Ripley Center from February 4th through May 1st to see the piece.
