Kyle and Jessica's Adoption Story
Donation protected
We are Kyle and Jessica Loomis and are hopeful adoptive parents. We are pursuing adoption through Lifeline Children’s Services for open domestic infant adoption. Lifeline shares our heart for serving both children and their mothers. They ensure that children are placed in loving, Christian homes that will model the Gospel to the child and his/her birth mother.
We have been approved and we are waiting to be matched with a birth mother.
We have been married 12 years and after 5 years of marriage, we decided to try and grow our family. After many years of unsuccessful fertility treatments we concluded that a biological child might not be possible; however, we knew God had a plan for our family and adoption has become the dream to grow our family. We deeply desire an open adoption so that we might know the child’s birth mother and/or father. We want our children to grow up knowing they are well-loved by many people.
In July 2023 we were matched with a wonderful birth mother and we brought home a perfect baby girl in September. After raising her for two months we had to give our precious child to her birth father who sought custody after the mother made an adoption plan. This was the hardest thing we have ever gone through. We trust that the Lord’s plan is sovereign, even in our grief. We know that we can now relate to a birth mother on a level that we previously couldn’t because we too have given up a child now.
Throughout our entire marriage, and especially within the last year, the Lord has shown us deep love and hope. While we will never lose sight of that precious baby girl who lived with us for two months, we know that the Lord has used our experience to further his kingdom and plan. We hope that our story brings hope to those who read it.
While adoption is a beautiful picture of God’s love, there are many earthly and financial hurdles to overcome. We have made great strides to prepare ourselves spiritually, emotionally, and financially for our hopeful reality of being forever adoptive parents. The amount we are seeking help with are the most immediate costs we will incur in the process. We are grateful to anyone who would come alongside us to be a part assisting in our current and future needs.
With deepest thanks,
Kyle and Jessica
