Latrina Townes-Edwards, Medical Assistance

Latrina Townes-Edwards, my sister is a devoted mother and dedicated postal worker.  Always willing to help others at a moment’s notice if she can but also a very private and proud person.  This past year Latrina underwent brain surgery to remove a non-tumorous mass.  The main part of that surgery at that time was a success except for a small mass they were not able to remove.  However, during her recovery time, she had to use up all sick leave and had to take a lot of unpaid time away from work for her recovery.  Medical insurance at that time did not cover all the needed expenses.   

         Even though the initial surgery was a success, but that small mass is aggressively pushing against her facial nerves and starting to cause additional medical complications.  Doctors believe that the best course of action is radiation therapy. 

         This is where we ask for your help because it is already known that she will have to use the small number of sick days she accumulated since the surgery again. Due to radiation therapy, a great deal of additional medical expenses will be incurred.  We all know that the price of both radiation therapy and the medication that goes along with it is a great medical burden for anyone.
