Help Laura with her Breast Cancer Fight

Hello, my name is Laura Zollinhofer. I am a wife and mom of 3.

I was diagnosed with invasive ductal carcinoma stage IB Breast Cancer on September 11, 2023. I start chemo on September 28 and I will have a treatment every 21 days from there for 5 more treatments. After that, I will have my mastectomy and then continued treatments tailored to whether or not the cancer was completely killed during the chemo. And then to complete my treatment I will have radiation for several sessions. This plan looks like it's going to be approximately one year of time. My cancer is completely curable, so praise God ,this is not a life sentence and amazingly I'm not scared about the journey I am about to go through.(at least not right now.)

Now I'm about to do something that is incredibly hard for me

I need to ask for help.

In April of this year, my husband was let go by his employer after almost 20 years. At first it was kind of a blessing because he had a decent severance package and insurance for nine months through the company, also I was/am doing well enough right now to tell him that he could retire and not worry about going back to work. Super proud of myself! Fast forward to August when I found a lump. Up until a couple days ago was thinking to myself, girl you've got this all around.

Now I'm worried about our finances while I go through this. We were totally fine with our insurance running out in March and then just finding new health insurance. However, now that I have cancer we’re thinking we will need to switch to cobra which is going to be minimum $2200 a month, Plus any other expenses that come up. I am learning that cancer is not cheap to cure. While Dave is more than willing to go back to work to support us. I really want him by my side, at least until after my mastectomy, to support me through all this craziness and to help run my business as best he can on the days that I cannot. I still plan on running my business the whole time.

If you can bless my situation and help me to get through it without so much worry financially, I would greatly appreciate ANY Help. Every single dollar counts.
