Rosies Therapy ❤
Donation protected
Hello, I am Rosies mum Amy and I originally set this go fund me page to raise money for Rosies intense therapy at Footsteps in Oxford. It's been over a year now and since then Rosies attended Footsteps numerous amounts of times with amazing results!!! She can now sit unaided, transfer from sitting to laying down, laying down to sitting and recently started her own little funky version of crawling. It's not your typical way but our Rosie isn't your average girl.
Our personal circumstances have since changed too, meaning we're now entitled to charity funding towards Footsteps physio which is a God send. It doesn't cover the full amount but we aim for Rosie to attend 3 times a year. She's already been once in Janauary and is due to return in June and November.
If you don't already follow our story then you will soon realise I am a mum on a mission to ensure Rosie gets all the help she deserves to give her the best quality of life. We don't know what the future holds for Rosie, she may never walk or talk or achieve those typical milestones other children do but we want to give her a fighting chance.
An example of Rosies newest therapy which she is starting on Saturday (22.04.23) is Conductive Education. The centre is based just over an hour away from our home. Unfortunately we don't have anything closer. Without taking fuel into consideration the 1 hour therapy block for 6 weeks costs around £160. This fee fluctuates depending on what their charity has in the pot to put towards the cost. Conductive education is something Rosie has been doing for over a year now, a therapy she really enjoys. Unfortunately the group we originally attended that was fully funded has had to temporarily close. Rosie responded so well to this particular type of therapy that I really can't give up on her attending a new group just because of money.
That's why I am continuing to promote her GoFundMePage. The funds will go towards all of Rosies private therapies.
If this is the first time you've come across our page please give Rosies story a read ⬇️
Rosie was born during lockdown June 2020 six weeks early via emergency c section weighing a tiny 3lbs 8oz. At only 3 weeks old we found out she has a rare genetic condition called 1p36 Deletion Syndrome.
This means she is missing a tiny part of her chromosome 1. As a result of this Rosie will require life long care.
Everything we do as a family is to give her the best quality of life ❤
