Lewis green ordeal in Thailand

Hi my name is Colleen and I am Lewis mother. The reason we have set up a go fund me is so we can try and recover the money Lewis lost in Thailand to get out the police station in hau hin after being set up by a local and being asked to drive her vehicle which then landed him up being arrested and locked up for four days in a Thai holding at the police station we know Lewis was drugged in Thailand with a drug that he said just gave him a over whelming feeling of psychosis. He was hallucinating and he was having a near to death experience his dad and I lost contact with him for four days it was when a friend he met went to check his hotel room she found his dads number and contacted us to say Lewis was in holding. We were horrified Lewis had started the holiday with a wonderful fishing experience and he had been thoroughly enjoying it but in the day before he was due to return everything went horribly wrong. He was beat in the police station and the police fractured his ribs broke his wrist and his feet were lasserated. The only way we could get to Lewis rescue without him being locked up in a Thai prison was to send £7.000.00 in English money over which Lewis said he wanted to pay himself we sent the money over and he was free to go what else could we do he was in danger and he was our son we needed to help him. But it doesn’t end there we then realised that whatever they had drugged him with was having lasting effects and he was in no fit state to fly home we then made the decision for his dad to fly over that cost another £5k for his dads flight over and there flights home. We had to do this we had to get him home so that we did but upon arrival to the uk he still wasn’t well he was still having horrendous nightmares and hallucinations he broke down at home and said he needed help so we seeked help and Lewis was admitted to St. George’s for treatment not that he had a drug problem he didn’t as most of you know he’s a hard working lad and he didn’t deserve in any which way to end up with what was a dream holiday and ended up in a nightmare situation in which we had to get help Lewis was admitted for five weeks in to St. George’s for a treatment plan and he was finally discharged yesterday he’s spent his savings to get him out of jail he’s not earning any money for three months so I thought I would set up a go fund me to help Lewis to get some of his money back just a little till he can resume at work which we have no idea how long this will take. I thank anyone now who can help us in this awful situation we’ve been through as a family we have tried to get money back from the authorities in Thailand but it’s corrupt and they don’t want to know I would also advise anyone travelling to Thailand to be vigilant and the Thai authorities have one rule for one and one for another so beware.
