Show Love For Lisa: Cancer Support

As many of you know, Lisa has had a rough go lately with her cancer spreading in her brain, stomach, and intestines. She will be having two big surgeries in December to remove the cancer in her stomach/esophagus, over 6 ft. of her intestines, and any other cancer that they find and are able to safely remove. With the spread of cancer in her brain, her team has determined the need for proton beam radiation therapy; it is the best option for her. This type of therapy will target the specific cancer cells remaining in her brain while keeping the surrounding brain tissue intact. This specialized type of radiation therapy is luckily available in Boston, so we will not have to relocate.

As you can imagine, this is a lot for anyone to go through. We are setting up this GoFundMe to help with out-of-pocket expenses that are not covered by insurance, costs of care for Lisa, travel expenses to and from the hospital, parking garage costs, gas, prescriptions, and the ongoing medical treatment that will be lifelong for Lisa.

We know how much you adore Lisa. We all do. We love her infectious laugh, quick wit, brilliant creativity, wild imagination, and beautiful heart. If you've ever met her in person, you'll know she has the most beautiful spirit and loves to laugh. She brings joy even in the midst of a storm. She is an avid hockey fan, especially when her youngest nephew is playing. She is a daughter, sister, aunt, girlfriend, friend, and above all, she loves and roots for those she loves fiercely. We are devastated to share that her cancer is continuing to spread, and we hope that this upcoming surgery will help stop the growths and give her a chance to take a breather.
