Medical Expenses for Jamie Madsen

On Thursday, March 1st of this year, Kurt and Nicole Madsen received a phone call that has turned their world upside-down. Their third (and currently youngest) child, two and a half year old James, has cancer and needed to go to the hospital right away. Since then, we’ve learned that Jamie has Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia Type B, a cancer of the blood, and one which typically shows up in children between the ages of two and five. He began chemo therapy a few short days after diagnosis, and is now fighting the cancer like the sweet little warrior that we all know and love. He is being treated at Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah, about an hour or so away from his home. His parents and siblings, along with all of his extended family and friends, appreciate all of the prayers that have been and continue to be offered on his behalf and the generosity of loved ones and strangers alike.

We are setting up this donation page to help raise money for medical expenses, travel expenses to and from the hospital during the next three years, and any other financial help the family may need. With a new baby on the way, a new house under contract and almost ready to be moved in to, two healthy children and one who is very sick, I know the Madsen’s will appreciate your generosity and prayers more than you can imagine.
