FULLY FUNDED - LOLA - plan B

Tax deductible
Hello everybody!

This is a very special fund raiser for us as it's been started for our beloved Lola girl.

She didn't have the best start in life sadly. At only 1 month old she was found abandoned in a bush on the harsh streets of Romania. She had most likely suffered a trauma in the womb as she had a badly deformed front paw. When she arrived in foster care in the UK, specialists said the paw didn't bother her and it actually helped her move around/jump and should it ever cause her discomfort, it could be amputated.

Lola has always been shy to start with and many things were new to her, like walking on roads, near people, near dogs, as she has not had the proper puppy socialising while in Romania. Lola changed few foster homes and few owners which didn't help her mental development sadly. Lola became highly leash reactive towards people, cats and dogs with bite redirection towards handler with intent to harm.

We sent Lola to a professional dog trainer who did an amazing job with her - getting her to be very calm and manageable around all past distractions, but he did mention that a lot of work would have to be put in by a potential owner as there was a fine line between calm Lola and reactive Lola and if the owner wouldn't be up for the challenge, she could regress, as she did so many times before, bless her heart, when people simply could not keep up with her training due to various circumstances, most of them simply being that there is just not enough time or experience to dedicate to a gorgeous girl like her in order for everyone to be safe, comfortable and happy.

We tried to rehome her again and again with no success and we reached the conclusion, along with the trainer, that the best solution for Lola would be to spend her life with someone very experienced, in a safe, controlled environment where she wouldn't get herself in trouble or she wouldn't harm anyone bad enough to cause further trouble. So, after lots of research, conclusions, tears and opinions, we found this lovely training facility that helps severe cases of aggression, fear, anxiety/ out of control, under socialised dogs get back on track. But instead of sending Lola to be trained again (as she was already undergoing training and doing marvellous with her current trainer), the latter facility offered to take Lola on and keep her with them forever for our peace of mind, her safety and everyone's happiness!

So now, and from now on, our beautiful Lola will live in a training facility with 2 amazing trainers who do a fabulous job at offering problem dogs another chance at life, she has a massive field to play in everyday with other dogs which she really loves and she has cuddles galore from the staff!

We are very happy to have managed to secure this baby girl's future with happiness, but we are also absolutely heartbroken we couldn't offer her a home like everyone else, however every case is special and there is a kind solution for each and every one of them :) ! A lot of thought has been put into this decision, a lot of considerations and a lot of worrying mishaps and failed adoptions, a lot of emotions from all of us, but all turned out well in the end and we're super grateful! Both parties have requested to stay anonymous, but please know both parties absolutely adore our Lola.

STAY TUNED FOR UPDATES ON OUR AMAZING GIRL!

Meanwhile, there have been lots of costs involved, and we haven't backed down from any of them on behalf of our beloved Lola. We are hoping though that we can cover the debts we've created, through your kindness and trust in us, and that we can get back on track debt-free soon enough so we can move on and save the next dog in need!

£2,550 training fee for 6 weeks with successful results
£1,500 training facility donation as a THANK YOU for offering Lola a safe and happy life
£310 fuel for transporting Lola all over to get her safe

I hope you think this is a good cause to support. We all know how difficult it is to rehome problem dogs and we all know how many dogs end up being put down because of such reasons. We found a way around it - offered Lola calmness for her psychological health, offered her a safe, fulfilling environment with human/dog interaction/exercise daily, offered Lola a secure, care-free future. Surely that's what we would all want for a misunderstood rescue dog who has hurt people in the past, but of course not her fault as reactivity is like a black veil over dogs' eyes, unfortunately casing enough damage to scare people.

All in all, Lola is and will forever be happy and safe and we're super relieved we could help her! Please SHARE / SUPPORT this fund raiser! x
