Lorenzo’s Lahaina Honu Life

Aloha from Fred and Molly Lorenzo. As many of you know, we experienced the devastating loss of our home in the Lahaina fire this week. Rest assured we are safe and sound and are blessed to have our health.

The Hawaiians consider the honu (turtle) an aumakua or guardian and a symbol of long life and good luck, hence the name Honu Life as we rebuild a whole new life.

There has been an outpouring of prayers and offers of assistance from all of our friends and family so we are setting up this site to help us and others less fortunate in the recovery efforts.

Fred has lived in Lahaina for decades and is regarded as a pillar of the community. He is known for his generosity and leadership which puts us in a unique position to establish this "Go Fund Me” to personally help local people from Lahaina we know are in need. Many friends have no savings and fled with no money just the clothes on their back. This money with help us provide them cash awards to help purchase cell phones, plane tickets back to the mainland, clothes, groceries and even funeral expenses. Any donations we receive should help get them back on their feet and move forward.
