Lucy's Antarctic Adventure for IBCN
From this November until sometime in January, I will be attempting to ski from Hercules Inlet on the land coast of Antarctic to the South Pole. The trip will be a guided, supported journey of 702 miles (1130 km) pulling my own equipment and food supplies (between resupplies).
While I am funding the trip myself I would like to use this as an opportunity to fundraise for a cause that is very close to my heart.
I only heard of Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC) when a very close friend was diagnosed in 2016. It is a rare and highly fatal form of breast cancer that is not typically discovered by mammogram and often occurs prior to standard breast cancer screening age recommendations.
Please join me in supporting the work of the IBC Network in raising awareness and promoting and fund IBC research in the United Kingdom.
Thank you for your donations.
