Apoyo (Support) para familia de Maria Estrada Cordero

My name is Dalia, Maria’s daughter. On May 8th, my mom was diagnosed with the most aggressive type of brain tumor (GBM). My mom passed away on June 25th and I’m trying to raise funds to help with funeral expenses and to help my dad.

My mom was well known in the community for helping new arrivals. Many people have recounted how she helped them start their own business and got them settled in to Kansas when no one else would give them a chance.

Many of her clients have told me she has been cleaning for them for over 20years and how much they adore her because of her reliability and friendly nature.

The Jehovah’s Witness community in the Kansas City area are all saddened at the loss of a congregation member who has hosted and welcomed hundreds of her brothers and sisters in her home over the years.

And of course the loss to her family is devastating. My mother and her siblings (my aunts and uncles) have always been very close. My cousins are like my brothers and sisters and we are all still trying to process how such a strong, energetic, positive and beautiful woman is no longer with us.

I suggested my father take some days off work to process. My mom and dad have been together for almost 38 years (July 6th is their wedding anniversary). Their janitorial/cleaning business is their primary source of income and if they don’t work, there is no income. I’m hoping this will help him while we transition and adjust to a life without my mom.
