Matt's New Legs
Donation protected
On the fateful afternoon of Tuesday, July 18th, Matthew Felton and his close friend, Jason Ermi, were severely injured in an explosion involving Matt's van. The explosion was at a city-owned natural gas compression pump in Milwaukee. Matt was rushed to the hospital where he underwent immediate surgery that resulted in amputation of both his legs at his knees. Jason was taken to be treated for 4th degree burns, broken leg, and other injuries (see his Page for his story). By God's Grace, they are both still with us.
Matt is still being treated at the hospital at the time of posting this page, has undergone multiple surgeries, and still has a few left before his legs may be closed and begin to heal. He has a long road of recovery and physical therapy ahead of him.
Matt needs significant financial support. Prosthetics alone are estimated at $100,000 (by September), not to mention uncovered medical bills and equipment, immediate home modifications that need to be completed, as well as day to day living expenses upon release. Please consider a donation through this page! Matt urgently needs help, and is thankful to you and the Lord for assistance.
Alternatively, you may email [email redacted] for info on how to directly donate by personal check (mail) or cash (these would not be subject to the 5% site + 2.9%+$0.30 processing fees, so more would go to help Matt).
Also, please check back to this page periodically for more dates & details of the Fundraising Series of Events being organized for Matt's New Legs:
-Sunday, September 17th, Grace Center (at Broadway & Juneau, Milwaukee)
Your prayers and support are greatly appreciated!
