MC Arts and Culture , —Read about us in the news—and her newly formed MC Artist Collective is in the amazing position to lease, at a significantly reduced rent, space for an ART GALLERY and artist studio workspace and retail boutique, in the Marin City Gateway Shopping Center: 100 Donahue Street. Suite 190 “B” Marin City, CA 94965
2000 Square feet will host the works of committed MC Arts Members and selected guest artists, as well as provide a space for the public to engage in conversations that will assist us in navigating in the transformed times that we live in.
As Director and Curator for our group, I have already signed the lease and submitted payment for first month and initial business expenses. Next step is to secure keys and move in during the first week of March 2020.
(Update—as of March 5th we are officially in the building!) Thank you for your generous support thus far. I am so very gratesful. We are stepping out with the goal of raising 25K (update—The Grand Opening is scheduled for September 12th, 2020) We will keep this campaign open until the end of the year, and unless you opt out, we will periodically update you to the progress of our move in, with photos and videos.

You are also kickstarting our sustainable business model by providing a foundation for artists and entrepreneurs who will be collectively leasing the space month to month. MC Arts Gallery will display, promote and distribute art, and retail quality products, created with passion and integrity.
We have already garnered substantial support in the form of reduced rent, allowing for committed members to affordably display their art, 24/7. The lease includes day and night security—a significant plus.
We see this opportunity as a blessing in these times, when so many are having to leave the area due to financial challenges.
On the other hand, we are clear that this Art Gallery will bring cultural vibrancy to the sometimes stagnate Gateway Shopping Center.
We vision that our presence will bring life and laughter.
The model of purchasing from artists, and value aligned entrepreneurs as a way to promote equity, is at the heart of the MC Arts mission.
We are reaching out to our community—those who believe that art in all of it’s forms, can communicate across divides, those who understand that the study and cultivation of art can reveal the strengths of our young people struggling with how to be in this increasingly complicated world they have inherited.
MC Arts continues its mission to uplift, enrich, entertain and enliven the Marin City, Marin County and it’s sister communities throughout the Bay Area; through Fine Art, Dance, Theater, Literature, Music, Multi-Media and events.
The MC Arts Gallery will host classes and workshops, special exhibits, be a space for reflection, a place to view artists at work, and serve as an elegant meeting spot —filled with beauty.
