Funeral service and expenses for Melissa Campbell

On the 22nd of February my little sister Melissa Campbell was found by our mothers unresponsive locked in a bathroom after calling 911 she then tried to break Into the bathroom. She was not able to as Melissa was up against the door. After the ambulance arrived she was not breathing and did not have a pulse. Essentially she was dead. It took 20 minutes to revive her. Meaning she was without oxygen for at least those 20 minutes. She was rushed to the hospital and put on life support. After many tests it came back that she had little brain function. She has stroke like damage to her brain, and has an severe anoxic brain injury. She was taken off of life support and breathing on her own after a week it was determined she needed a permanent feeding tube to be able to survive. She went into surgery and would not open her mouth and kept clenching down making it harder to breath and harder on her body. They had to intubate her again as result. The next day she opened her eyes while my mother and I were visiting her. Although she still had no response to sounds, or touch, and no response to vision or commands. The doctors ran another eeg while at the same time trying to ween her off of oxygen to allow her to breathe on her own again. It didn't go as well as wished, and they planned another trial for the next day. The results were the same. The neurologist came back with the results of my sisters eeg. We were told she will never be able to have any form of a functional life. She would never be able to come back from her injuries. She would be bed ridden and stuck the way she is now if she even made it to the point of being stable. My family and I made the hardest decision we will ever make. We have decided to take her off life support and pass on her own. She is currently under hospice care and being moved to a hospice house. All of her life support was removed yesterday around 630pm. Please pray for an easy pain free passing. Pray she can finally find peace and be able to rest. Pray for my family as we go through this with her. 

Lissa is loved by so many. It was so hard not to love her tho she was always willing to help anyone. Baby sister we are all here with you tell the end know you will never be alone. You have an amazing, beautiful, loving, intelligent, caring young man in the making. Jaxson is going to be so lost with out you he loves his mommy so much. A set of parents that saw so much potential in you they just knew one day you would be the person they saw. Know they love you and made the hardest decision of their life for you to find the peace you deserve. Five siblings that are being ripped apart losing one of their pack. Friends you have helped shape into better people. Family all over the world praying for you and so many more.

We are hoping to get the funds needed to be able to give my sister the beautiful service she deserves. We would also like to be able to give her a church service. As well all funeral costs will come from out of pocket. We are hoping to be able to get her a headstone big enough for her and her daughter Lilly who was born December 21st 2018 and passed December 25th 2018. She was not able to get her one before this tragedy hit. There are also many other things that still need to be paid. There has been a huge struggle between work and the hospital the past 2 weeks.
