Medical costs for my Dad Lonnie Wagner

Hello, my name is August and I am asking for help for my step-dad Lonnie Wagner. Lonnie has been in my life since I was born and married to my mom since 2007. He is an Army veteran of 23 years, something he has always been very proud of. He loved his family and always enjoyed the outdoors. Things like fishing and mushroom hunting have always been his favorite. He was in an accident on Friday August 12th. He slipped off of a 30 ft hillside in a park in our home town, causing fractures his spine in 2 places. One near his neck and one in his lower back. (Among many other injuries, scrapes, bruises, cuts and collapsed lungs) He was stabilized at Blessing and then airlifted to St. John’s Hospital. Upon arrival in Springfield he was taken into a 5 hour surgery to realign his spinal column. Because of his critical condition they were only able to work on the injury near his neck. He is currently and likely permanently paralyzed from the shoulders down. It’s very touch and go at this time. The future is very unclear for him and my family. His wife (my mom) has been with him every second since the accident. I’m asking for help for the medical costs, costs of traveling, and all other costs that my mom is taking on right now. I appreciate all help and am so incredibly grateful for any thoughts and prayers and love sent to my family during this time. ❤️❤️
