Cancer Diagnosis

Hi everyone, on Friday as we dropped off the kids to Jen’s ex-husband, Eric Estes, we saw he was visibly upset. People always associate the term “ex” as a negative but that’s not always the case and further from our truth. Eric is an amazing man, loving father, and only child of his parents. So as he explained that when he went into the doctor for back pain they said he had kidney issues, and they suspected a rare blood cancer, it truly hit hard. Not more than 3 hours later we got a call asking if we could come pick the kids up because the lab results came back and they want him to go to UofM immediately. Fast forward to testing and now starting chemotherapy yesterday afternoon. Eric doesn’t currently have health insurance through his employer and his wife lost their insurance when she was let go from her previous employer in January 2022. By chance, they were looking into plans recently and applied for some but it doesn’t take effect until next month and has an extremely high deductible. This is going to cost them so much in medical bills, lost work for both him and his wife Christina. I am his ex-wife’s husband Josh Banks and I’m here asking for your help and support for them. That is the kind of man he is. Knowing his parents, they will bankrupt themselves to help him and that shouldn’t be a thing either. Please look into your heart and if you can give anything please help us, help them in this horrific situation even if it’s only $5 or $10. We have no idea how long or what the prognosis will inevitably be but everyone is hopefully he will beat this horrible disease and we can remain successful co-parents of his amazing children Addison and Easton. Eric, Christina and the kids’ whole worlds changed in a matter of hours so if nothing else please keep him in your prayers and push positivity his way. We will be giving the money to Eric or his parents to ensure the funds go to his medical and financial obligations until he can beat this and get back on his feet. Thank you
