Memorial Fund for Don Beatty & Family

Donation protected
Don Beatty passed away on May 31, 2024 surrounded by his family at Providence Everett Medical Center. With the passing of a loved one there are many expenses; cremation, memorial, hospital bills, general living expenses while traveling to and from hospital care and the unexpected costs after closing up end of life financials. The family would also like to spread Don's ashes in one of his favorite places, Alitak, Alaska. Please consider donating to help the family during this difficult time.

Donald Winfield Beatty (1959-2024)
Donald Winfield Beatty, son of Danny Beatty and the late Maureen Couplin, was born July 28, 1959 in Seattle, WA. He grew up in Anacortes, Washington attending Anacortes Public Schools and was a graduate of Anacortes High School in 1978.

Don met his sweetheart Chelcy (Goss) Beatty in 1991 and they married in October 1992. They were blessed with two beautiful girls, Carley Don (1994) and Kendall Joe (1999).

Don started working in the commercial fishing industry in 1978 and immediately fell in love with the lifestyle. He began traveling to Alaska and that eventually led to running his own commercial purse seiner in 1992 around Kodiak, Alaska. When in Alaska, Don was in his element. He loved the ocean and was very handy when it came to fixing his own equipment. He quietly departed this life on May 31, 2024, surrounded by family at Providence Everett Medical Center in Everett, Washington.

His life will forever be cherished in the lives of his wife, Chelcy, and children, Carley and Kendall, his brothers-in-law, Gary (Kellie) Goss and Joey (Holly) Goss along with his nieces and nephew. His best friends Jody Whitney and Eric Thompson, with their children, will remember him fondly.
