Michael Lewis Aug 21 2006- June 14 2023

Hi my name is Maureen and I lost my 16 year old suddenly June 14 2023. He was such an amazing child I loved being his mom. He suffered from mental issues and last June he took his life because of those issues. He loved many things and music was one of them. I played in a family band as a child and when my son expressed interest in the guitar I took him to get one at Long and Mcquade right away. I loved to hear him practice in his room. The last year of his life he got to play with my brother Bryan Wright at various places in Kitchener with other musicians. Michael was also involved in the blues festival in Kitchener the music camp they have. As his one year anniversary comes I would like to raise money to send a child who can’t afford the blues camp this year in memory of Michael. Michael loved to show his friends his gift of music and I know he would like a child who can’t afford it to experience this camp and opportunity. It costs 250 for a week for one child my goal is to raise 250 but if we can send more children that would be amazing.
