Michelle and Gordon McDaniel
Donation protected
Michelle has been fighting Breast cancer since May. The night before her final chemo on October 11th, Gordon's hand started to swell so he went into the emergency room and they immediately took him into surgery. A week later we found out he had necrotizing cellulitis fasciitis, a flesh eating disease that was rapidly moving up his arm. Because it was rapidly moving, Gordon was having surgery every 3 days. The doctors eventually managed to stop it right before it hit his shoulder. They began hyperbaric treatment at Grossmont Hospital and slowly his arm has started getting better. On Wednesday, Michelle will undergo surgery for a double mastectomy as well as the removal of her ovaries. Wednesday will also be Gordon's 13th surgery and they are hoping to start skin graphing to put his arm back together. Gordon will have physical therapy for awhile to get the use of his arm back. As they are both recovering from their surgeries they will be celebrating their 19th wedding anniversary on Thursday, November 10th in the hospital.
