Michelle's Heart Attack Recovery

Thank you for coming to our fundraiser page for Michelle Oberg. For those who know her she is an amazing woman and during this crucial time needs our help.

On July 11th, Michelle suffered a "Widowmaker" heart attack. She had a 100% blockage in her left anterior descending artery. Doctors were able to place a stent open the artery and return blood flow. This is just the beginning as she is now experiencing heart failure and will require extensive recovery with a high risk for an additional heart attack within the next 30 days. Michelle does not have health insurance and is having to worry about if she will even be able to afford her medication necessary for her to recover and prevent another heart attack. My sister, Hannah Lechlitner, and myself, Hilary Schick, can only help so much and will not be able to cover all the financial needs by ourselves. We have reached out to the manufacturers, and are utilizing as many resources as we can to lower the costs. That being said the costs with this help is still hundreds to thousands monthly going forward. This is only including her rehabilitation costs. During this time, it is still uncertain when she will be able to return to work. We are asking for donations to help afford the costs of her care. Without the help, she may not be able to have access to her medications and recovery. Not only is Michelle a friend, sister, wife, and mother but she is also a loving grandmother of 6 grandchildren, including a newborn and another is on the way. She still has so many memories to make.
