Mommas House Makeover

Hello,

My name is Jill and I’m working along side Betsy and Jackie on a volunteer project for Momma’s House. Momma’s House is a housing opportunity for young mothers age 18-24 that are pregnant or raising their child age 0-5. “MOMMAS House makes it possible for a young mother to raise her baby in a caring and supportive environment while she works toward reaching her full potential and develops in her role as a mother. Once safely housed in one of our residences, a young mother is guided through the program with compassion, patience and love. Ultimately when they are ready, the family moves on, better equipped to lead independent lives.”

We need your help! Momma’s House has relocated to the old convent behind St. Bernard’s church in Levittown, NY. Every room in the building needs a total makeover. Although some furniture was kept, these funds will go toward buying the necessary items needed to clean, paint, and furnish these bedrooms, kitchen, day care area, and bathroom. These women deserve to feel comfortable in their temporary home while they are trying to set up their lives for success.
