Mountainside Elks Club Outdoor Area Improvements

My name is Alex Alder, I am a Life Scout in Mountainside Troop 177. For my Eagle Scout project, I am providing several cedar Adirondack chairs, as well as a row of arborvitae trees to improve the outdoor area of the Mountainside Elks.

The cedar chairs will replace old and deteriorating plastic lawn chairs that currently furnish the outdoor firepit. We will be assembling, staining, and protecting the chairs in order to increase their lifespan.

The arborvitae trees will form a much needed privacy screen, separating the outdoor area from the neighboring parking lot. This will encourage use of the outdoor space, and make it more inviting for community members. The arborvitaes will be around three feet tall when we plant them, and will grow to 15 feet.

Funds will be used to purchase the Adirondack chair kits, arborvitae trees, staining supplies, and other materials needed for the project. Any leftover funds will be given to the Mountainside Elks.
