1st Earth SCHOOL: Planet vs. Plastics @Moffett Elementary

Join Us in Raising Funds for the Earth SCHOOL Planet vs. Plastics Program!

We are so excited to announce our fundraiser to support the Earth SCHOOL Planet vs. Plastics program, an immersive and interactive educational experience designed to train the next generation of Earth stewards. This program will serve 660 students at Moffett Lennox Elementary School, providing them with the knowledge, skills, and sensory experiences needed to become conscious environmental advocates, and showing them some possible careers in the field of environmental stewardship!

Program Details:

Dates: Two-day event

Participants: TK through 5th grade students

Station Activities: Pollution materials education, literacy for leadership, ocean memory coloring, nature-themed yoga, planting microgreens, schoolyard cleanup, ocean health simulation, hydration education, environmental theater, and a collaborative art review installation.

Our curriculum is designed to be inclusive and engaging, incorporating youth peer mentorship, literacy and bilingual support, safe physical activity, kinesthetic learning, art therapy, and youth planning engagement.

Why We Need Your Support:

While the school is covering basic costs, we need additional funds to make this program truly exceptional. Your donations will help us provide:

Staff t-shirts

A videographer to document the event and post editor to create a montage

Food, snacks, and lodging for staff (2 days)

Additional supplies not included in school budget to ensure all stations run smoothly (e.g. walkie talkies, timers, headset microphones for facilitators, etc)

Promotional materials (e.g. banners, completion certificates for the kids)

Additionally, your support will enable our core staff to continue marketing this program to other schools, ensuring its sustainability and growth.
