Alex's Muay Thai Training trip

I am planning a trip to Thailand to train Muay Thai (Thai Boxing) with my Coach Kru Chris Clodfelter, who is planning to fight as well as train on this trip.
For those who do not know, Muay Thai is a combat sport from the muay martial arts of Thailand that uses stand-up striking along with various clinching techniques. This martial art is known as "the art of eight limbs" because it is characterized by the combined use of fists, elbows, knees, shins and feet.
I began my training a little over a year and a half ago at Crazy 88 in Elkridge, MD. When I started, my only intention was to get out of the gym and do something different. After being a athlete my whole life and a personal trainer since I was 17, I was getting bored in the gym doing the same old workouts. I'm not quite sure how I decided Muay Thai was what I wanted to try, but I had a feeling I'd enjoy it. From my first time sparring, with my bloody nose and having never, ever feeling this feeling of complete exhaustion, came a passion I have never felt for anything else I've ever participated. I've competed in athletics at a very high level, some even professional, but I have never had the passion, the love I have for them that I have for Muay Thai.
At this point, I have moved to North Carolina and am training with Kru Chris Clodfelter at Eight Points Muay Thai in Winston Salem, NC. He is a professional Muay thai fighter and shares a passion like no other for the art of Muay Thai. He is planning to go for 2 weeks to train and fight at one of the Muay Thai stadiums in Thailand at the end of the trip. I would like to stay to train for a little longer, hopefully a month, to immerse myself in the culture and tradition of Muay Thai. I believe this would be an amazing experience for me and I would appreciate any help you guys can give me to make this dream come true!
