Hello! I am Ahmed F M Sarhan, and I am reaching out to share an urgent plea for assistance on behalf of my beloved family in Gaza.
This is my beloved family you will be helping:
My mother: Kareema, (Teacher) 51years old.
My father: Fathi, 54 years old
My sister: Khulood, (Teacher) 29 years old (her husband Ibraheem (Teacher) 36 years old)
My nephews: Yousef, (Student) 9 years old and Kareem, (Student) 5 years old.
My brother: Momen, (Doctor) 26 years old
My brother: Ayman, (Engineering student) 23 years old
My brother: Anas, (Engineering student )19 years old.
As we navigate the harrowing realities of the war, we are in dire need of support to ensure the safety and well-being of our loved ones.
During the 2021 war, our home was razed to the ground by Israeli airstrikes. Over the past two years, we've tirelessly worked to rebuild our lives, pouring our hearts and resources into constructing a new home. However, our hopes were shattered when our new home was bombed, leaving us without shelter, hope, and a place to call our own. Your support will be instrumental in helping us rebuild a new life outside Gaza. Every contribution brings us closer to restoring the sense of security and stability that every family deserves. Additionally, I want to share the heartbreaking stories of my nephews Yousef and Karim.
Yousef, a bright and ambitious 9-year-old, once dreamed of becoming a doctor like his uncle (Momen). However, since the beginning of the war, he has been haunted by the sound of airstrikes and now longs for nothing more than peaceful sleep at night , The constant fear and anxiety have taken a toll on his mental health, causing him to suffer from nightmares and difficulty concentrating during the day. His once vibrant personality has been overshadowed by fear and uncertainty, and it breaks my heart to see him robbed of his innocence at such a young age.
Meanwhile, Karim, 5-years-old, has been traumatized by the same sounds, can't enjoy his innocence of playing in a safe park near home, which is the bare minimum in a normal child's life; and is currently suffering from malnutrition.
As you all know at this stage a kid needs to have a variety of fruits and vegetables in his daily meals, but in Gaza he could barely get fed pieces of bread with polluted water, The trauma of witnessing violence and destruction around him has left him withdrawn and fearful, unable to trust even those closest to him. His once playful demeanor has been replaced by sadness and despair, and it pains me to see him struggle to find joy in the world.
In addition to the immediate need for safety and security, my family is also facing challenges in accessing essential medical care, they cannot even find medications for influenza or headache for example.
I want to share also the suffering of Momen, my brother, who recently graduated from medical school, he is eager to pursue specialized graduate studies abroad, but in these catastrophic circumstances he cannot do this without funding. By obtaining funding for his studies, he hopes to return to Gaza equipped with the skills and knowledge to address the critical healthcare needs of our community.
Being the oldest of the family, I won’t be able to live with myself if something will happen to my family and I didn’t do everything in my power to get them out.
Please help me get them out, I will sincerely appreciate any donation, even small ones that will make a significant difference in alleviating our suffering. These funds will be used for:
-Permits and Crossing Fees to leave Gaza required at the Egypt-Gaza border in Rafah which mainly 5000$-8000$ for every person (My parents, three brothers, one sister and her family).
-Requirements for lodging and food.
-The settlement expenses till we find jobs.
-to start rebuilding my lovely home as soon as possible.
-To cover the GoFundMe Transaction fees. The transaction fee is (2.9% + $0.30 per donation).
