Kris's Insulin Quest
Donation protected
This is a campaign to help raise money for my sons diabetic needs. Kris is my 26 yr old son. He was diagnosed at age 6 1/2 with Juvenile Diabetes and our world change.
For those that don't know Kris(and I don't know how you don't yet ) here's a little info on him. Kris is the most warm hearted and nicest guy I know. Yes I am his mother but ask anyone that knows him. He's worked at the same job since he was 16. Worked all through high school. As y'all know waiters/waitresses don't make a lot of money. Which leads me to this campaign for him.
Kris hasn't been feeling well for a while now. He's had to take off work a lot which in turn, has lead to his employer to cut back his hours. This is both good for Kris and his employer. But it's not good for money coming in. Today Feb27,2015 I took him to the doctor and they changed his insulin. He has been on the same insulin since he was diagnosed, with twiks here and there. Right now Kris doesn't have insurance . He has applied for Medicaid and now he waits until they process it and it starts. That could take a couple of months. Those months he has to pay out of pocket for his insulin. The new insulin cost $350. a bottle. A bottle last one month. We are setting our goal at $1000.00 in hopes to get three months covered incase it takes that long for Medicaid to start.
This is hard for me as a Mom to do this but I have to do everything I can to insure he has his insulin. I'd do anything I had to for him. He is my heart and soul. Thank you and look for updates.
