Help with Nanay's Funeral Costs

Donation protected

Alberta Dabandan Amargo, affectionately known as “Nanay” to all who cherished her, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2024 at 91 years old. She joins her beloved husband, Martin Sale Amargo, Sr., in peace.

Originating from the Philippines, Nanay and Tatay immigrated to the US in pursuit of greater opportunities and a brighter future for their family. Her life was a testament to devotion, both to her faith and to her community. She served tirelessly for decades through her church, Bellflower Seventh Day Adventist, where she found solace and kinship with her church family.

Nanay was such a vibrant woman of many talents and her spirit really shined bright for us all to experience whether she was singing, dancing, cooking or sewing. Or even just yelling at the TV while watching wrestling!

In Tagalog, “Nanay” means “Mother” and it’s no accident that everyone in her orbit only called her by that name. Nanay’s love and generosity knew no bounds, touching countless lives with her kindness and compassion.

Whether you can contribute or not, thank you for taking the time to honor and celebrate the life of our beloved matriarch, Nanay. All contributions will go directly to remaining funeral costs.
