Need help to survive the holidays, please

Hi. My name is Jericho and I lost my job in September. After paying my rent on 11/1, I'm running out of money while I apply for jobs and schedule interviews. Someone on DailyKos told me I need to set up a GoFundMe because I can't afford to be too proud and that I should ask for 2 months of support. My rent is $1,725.36. So, to get me through Thanksgiving and Christmas, I'm asking for $5,000.

That would allow me to pay rent, groceries, utilities, cellphone and internet (which I need to look for work) for the next 2 months. Any donation at all would be greatly appreciated. I've been homeless before and I don't want to go back there again. I've lived in my rent-controlled apartment for 14 years. Please help me to stay there while I try to find a job again.
