Newtonhill Out of School Club & FON

Hello my name is Eve and I am in primary 5. My mum is climbing Ben Nevis with some of her friends and works colleagues.

I asked my mum if I could join them on the hike and she said “as long as you don’t moan and carry your own bag”. So I set myself the challenge but said I wanted to help Newtonhill out of school club and Newtonhill Primary.

We are climbing Ben Nevis on the 23rd September (weather permitting). It is the highest mountain in Scotland 4413ft.

I walk with my mum all the time have been doing practise walks. A few weeks ago I did Mount Keen and on Sunday tried to do Lochnagar but couldn’t make it to the top because it was soooooo windy and could have been blown away. We are doing another Munro on Saturday ahead of the big day.
