Newtown (CT) High School Wrestling is celebrating their 50-year anniversary (1971 - 2021)

To recognize this incredible milestone, the NHS Wrestling Booster Club is planning a renovation of the wrestling room, including:

• Painting a 50 foot Nighthawk mural on the wrestling room wall complete with 4 foot tall images of our mascot.

• Hanging 10 new banners to recognize 50 years of NHS champions. These banners will include individual WCC, SWC, State, Open, New England and All-American champions. We will also include team championships, coach of the year awards, academic recognition & the 100+ Win club. In all, we will be adding 80 names to the Wall of Honor.

• Installing 4 commercial grade pull-up bars and a custom peg boards course.

With the Newtown Youth Wrestling program recently named as one of the top 100 largest programs in the country by USA Wrestling, this investment not only celebrates our past, but also prepares us for the future!
