BOBBY NEEDS OUR HELP!

Many of you will have come across our friend and fellow animal rights campaigner, Charmaine Scammell before, as she works tirelessly on social media to help all animals around the globe.
Charmaine is really in need of our help right now. Her darling little boy Bobby has been taken seriously ill over the past few weeks and has been under the care of the PDSA.
Bobby is normally a gentle, happy go lucky little boy, but suddenly lost 4kgs in weight recently with sickness, loss of bladder control, diarrhoea and high temperature. The vet diagnosed Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA) a serious complication of type 1 diabetes and, much less commonly, of type 2 diabetes. DKA happens when blood sugar levels are very high and acidic substances called ketones build up to dangerous levels in the body. They also found a suspicious mass by the liver, which could be causing the problems Bobby has, so he has now been referred to North Downs Specialist Referrals in Bletchingley. Without this treatment, he will die.
Bobby has fought hard to hang on over last week with the vets at the PDSA asking Charmaine twice if they should put him to sleep. Charmaine has refused to give up on him and he now seems to be improving. The vets were amazed by Bobby's will to keep going and he's now in the care of North Downs.
Bobby does not have any insurance as he is a PDSA named pet. Sadly, they do not have the facilities there to test him any further so the referral was needed to save his life. His care is going to be expensive estimated at £3500 to £4500. Charmaine is a pensioner and so she is very worried about the costs. Bobby is only 6 years old and hopefully has many more years to live yet. Please could we ask anyone who can afford it, to contribute to the cost of Bobby's care? Any amount would be greatly appreciated.
If we all give just £1, Bobby will be given a chance. Anything raised above what is needed, will go to animal rescue charities.
