Ongoing Pancreatic Cancer Battle

The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network is the global leader accelerating the pace of research progress for one of the world's deadliest cancers. With an urgent mission to improve outcomes for pancreatic cancer patients and double survival by 2020, the organization, founded in 1999, executes a bold and comprehensive strategy to Wage Hope through research, patient services, advocacy and community engagement.

In honor of my beautiful mama fighting stage 4 pancreatic cancer, and in support of everyone battling this aggressive disease, I ask anyone who has the means to consider supporting the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. As a cancer researcher myself, I support research year-round and am typically focused on the basic science. Experiencing the shock of her diagnosis this year and seeing the patient perspective for the first time as a caregiver, I’m reminded of the clinical impact of cancer as well. This side of the battle against cancer is one I never wanted to be part of first hand, but we are fighting hard and appreciate everyone’s support.
