It is with heavy hearts we share the devastating loss of our beloved Paighton Marie Hoffman, a beautiful, vibrant young soul, who left us too soon. Leaving an unfillable void in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who had the privilege to know her.
At just 16, Paighton radiated joy, hope, and love wherever she went. She was full of the best energy, had an infectious smile and generous heart and touched all who crossed her path with her kindness, humour and spirit. She was a truly extraordinary light. The shock of her passing has left her family, friends, and community heartbroken and struggling to come to terms with this unimaginable loss.
Paighton’s dreams were just beginning to blossom. She loved being part of the Parkwood Youth Group and she loved The Lord. Paighton thrived playing soccer, hockey, and basketball. She was minister of social media on student council and was on Caboto’s competitive team. She had a passion for exploring new places and experiencing different cultures. She and her mother Brittney, loved traveling together. She adored the open water, particularly the Gulf of Mexico. She had an enthusiasm for skincare, making mock-tails, unique coffee concoctions and finding treasures while thrifting. Even as a young girl she undoubtedly had a remarkable sense of fashion and culinary taste—well beyond her years. She was, without a doubt, one of the coolest young ladies I had ever met. Paighton had a gift for making everyone feel welcome and loved, and her legacy will continue in the stories we share, the laughter we hold onto, and the kindness we pass forward.
Paighton shared an especially deep and unique bond with her mother, Brittney. Their love for each other was evident to everyone. Paighton was her reason for everything—a connection full of devotion and rare to see. The two shared countless memories, laughs, and dreams, and Brittney’s world revolved around the beautiful daughter she adored. ‘P’ held a special place with each member of her family, her boyfriend Aiden and with us all.
In this time of unimaginable grief, we are reaching out to help ease the unexpected funeral costs and related expenses for Paighton’s family, that we as friends and neighbours can help alleviate.
Let’s help support the Hoffman family through this devastating loss. Your generosity, no matter the size, will allow them to honor Paighton’s memory and focus on healing without added financial burdens as they grieve.
Please continue to keep Brittney and Paighton’s family in your thoughts and prayers. Your support, love, and compassion mean the world to them.
With deepest gratitude.
