Hii everyone, I’m Megan Knight and one of Austin and Lainey’s good friends. Austin grew up with my husband and was the Best Man in our wedding.

For those of you who know Austin know how much he would hate people doing something like this for him but he would be the first to do it for anyone else. Soooo, sorry Austin… you can hate me for it haha. You would also know that he would dread us boasting about him being a Fire Captain for CalFire but he should brag because we are all so proud of him!

On 10/9 Austin got in a bad accident while on duty and was immediately taken to UC Davis Med Center in Sacramento. He is currently in the burn ICU being treated for severe burns to his upper body. As of now they are predicting he will be in the ICU for at least 3 weeks. An incident like this is hard to navigate for anyone, let alone soon to be new parents. With baby Colt’s arrival in the next month and both of them now having to be off work, many friends and family have reached out wanting to help support them during this tough time.

This is going to be a long road to recovery for Austin so if you feel inclined please help support them.

Not even 24hrs at the hospital Austin was cracking jokes and making a point to get everyone’s first names that are helping him. He’s in good spirits but all love, prayers and well wishes are welcome.
