Pauline Mangezi - Breast Cancer

Pauline Mangezi, a 45 year old widow with 5 Children who lives in Mugori village, Gutu, Zimbabwe was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2018, her husband the main bread winner passed away in 2015.
Pauline was under treatment at Karanda Hospital, Zimbabwe (a cancer specialist centre). Following surgery on her left breast she started undergoing chemotherapy, sadly she developed sores on the breast area as seen in the photo and could not continue with the chemotherapy and is on medication to manage the pain.
Pauline needs support to buy the medication, pay doctor’s fees and any other hospital treatment she might need. She is unable to work and is in constant pain, she cannot afford to buy medicines or pay for hospital visits. She needs US$150 every month to continue her treatment.
£1,000 will enable Pauline to get the right kind of treatment over the next 6 months as well as any incidentials that might occur, she needs to continue her medication until she heals and Doctors decide what is the best next treatment for her.

On speaking to Pauline on the morning of Tuesday, 19th November she informed me that she has 5 children:
Daugher, Mildred 23 (main carer)
Son, Denford, 19 in Form 3;
Son, Adrian, 14 in Form 2;
Daughter, Madeleine 10 in Grade 4;
Son, Taonaishe, 4.5 years old.
The family have no income and are at risk of starvation as well as face challenges with the younger children continuing their education due to lack of school fees.
