On July 8, 2021, Nyadak went to the emergency room at the local hospital in Mankato after feeling uncomfortable and she was going through some pain in her stomach. She felt like her stomach was just swollen and appear to be big. Nyadak is very small and personal with a flat stomach. After she was seen by the Dr and took some tests, she was told that her Gallbladder seems to have some leakage that could cause damage to her liver and the function of her entire organs. Nyadak was immediately transported to Mayo Clinic in Rochester MN. She has been there for 32 days. Nyadak did not have any symptoms at the time and was not sure how severe her illness was. This is unfortunate for her and the family to learn that she only has slims chance of surviving due to liver damage or failure.
The medical team at the Mayo Clinic concluded that she does not need to be in the hospital because they medically believe that there is not much left for them to do at this point. To make matter worse, state insurance known as Medicaid refuses to continue to pay for her treatment because state limitation has been reached. Nyadak is a single mother of three, she works night as a nursing assistant at the nursing home in Mankato MN. she can take her kids to school during the daytime. She is a hard-working mother and she does not use any federal rental assistance or food stamp. she works and takes care of her children, mother as well as her brother nieces, and nephews in Africa. Nyadak family was alarmed by the news some flew in from different states to see her at the hospital. Word has been spread out to the communities and Churches everyone is praying for Nyadak regardless of what the Dr said. Family and friends have hope that Nyadak will make it out of this situation. However, we cannot do it without your help. We are asking for your prayer and financial support to help Nyadak.

Nyadak stepped in and took over what both of her two brothers left behind. She became the father figure to her brothers' children and she fully engaged in taking care of her brother’s children.
