Please Honor Mike's Legacy and Help Support His Family

Mike Melendez, our friend and neighbor, passed away suddenly on June 1st at 37 years old. During his time here on Earth, he showed kindness and compassion to everyone he met. Mike helped his mom to care for his disabled older brother, Nelson, who went to be with God in 2020, and then asked his mom and younger brother to move in with him during their grief. He was a strong role model for his baby brother, supporting him in sports and education, while teaching him to help people in need, be a good neighbor to everyone and show great respect to women.

Mike went to trucking school during the driver shortage post Covid and immediately went to work using his new CDL to provide for his family. After driving locally for a couple of years, he was finally eligible for a long-haul position with Western Carriers. Mike was excited to spend his first week making multiple stops throughout New England. He spent an hour with me his first night back, describing the beauty of the mountains and the freedom of the open road, beaming the entire time. His smile only faded when he talked about missing his mom, his little brother and his dog (Moose).

Mike had big plans for his new career. He hoped to pay off the house for his mom, set up his 16 year old brother with a college fund, and eventually provide for a family of his own. Tragically, after only his second week on the road, Michael went to be with God and Nelson, due to a suspected aneurysm.

Mike spent his life providing for his mom, brothers and neighbors; physically, emotionally and financially. Now I need your help to cover the costs of his funeral expenses and help provide his mom with enough to cover a couple monthly bills. Please help if you're able, every dollar counts.
