Having found a research project here in the park, now its up to me to find funding. This is the chance of a lifetime, to do what one peer reviewer described as “foundational” work, and another, “critical”. Your help so far has enabled me to complete a preliminary study, confirm my hypothesis and conduct the first three seasons of field work. Now, another season is upon us and I can’t do it without you. The park is a giant laboratory, the last most intact temperate ecosystem in the lower 48. To a scientist this is what the park is all about. To me it’s a dream come true. I can’t believe I discovered this, and I can’t believe I might lose it because I don't have the funding. A chance to do real science and make meaningful discoveries. How many people can say they had that chance and how can I just let it go without exhausting all possibilities.

This would be so much easier if I could explain in detail but because of my political activism, the harassment and even some death threats from the radical right, well, I hope you can understand. The paper goes in soon for consideration, review and fingers crossed publication.
Your donations will be used to further this research project and go towards all the various expensed of conducting field research. Typically this has not included the vehicle I use to canvas my research area in the park however I've just run the brakes off wheels off my third personal vehicle in this endeavor and It's costing me a killing. I am going to apply some donations to securing a functional ride. I can't do field operations unless I can get out into the field. Thanks for understanding
