Thanks to everyone who has donated so far. The installation of the sandstorm detector was a decisive leap forward for climate science. Our documentary trailer is out now:
Here is a brief introduction to the original prototype as broadcast on live TV:
Project Sandstorm is an early-warning sandstorm detector designed to emit an alarm when wind-speed and dust particulate density reach dangerous levels. Using a patented Darude™ early-warning system, Project Sandstorm notifies nearby populations of the speed and severity of incoming sandstorms - allowing them to differentiate between a catastrophic natural disaster and an everyday dusty gust.

We are asking for contributions towards the cost of setting up and maintaining a 6-month pilot scheme in the Gobi Desert. A crew of engineers, climate specialists, geographers and unpaid media interns will travel to the remote front-line in the war on desertification.
We will use cutting-edge technology developed in-house to monitor the project and relay vital information back to the hermetically-sealed cultural vacuum of our UK laboratory.
The second prong of our mission is to raise awareness of climate science and of the threat to mankind. We will produce a documentary highlighting the plight of precarious communities and the consequences of humanity's inaction.
Our team has extensive film-making and broadcasting experience, having worked on a wide-range of high-profile projects for internationally-recognised clients.
Where other angst-ridden Westerners with GoPros have failed, we will bring our message of gap-year philanthropy to the world.
At the heart of Chin Stroke R&D's work is a focus on locally-integrated solutions to global problems. Applying a holistic methodology that is tailored to meet the needs of local and indigenous communities, Chin Stroke R&D sets out to work alongside governmental and development sectors to achieve tangible climate goals with self-congratulatory efficiency.
We stand on the edge of a precipice, teetering on the brink of climate catastrophe. Like a bad, bad doggy staring into a soiled kennel, we know not what we do.
Yes, future generations will judge us on our recklessness - but also on our ability to sooth our collective guilt.
Donate today to pay some strangers on the internet to shoulder the responsibility of your environmental impact.
