We are in this together

On December 2019 my childhood friend and life long sister  Rita was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. At only 29 at the time, she battled cancer silently. I never saw her not smiling as she would push past the pain and work tirelessly to give back to the community she loved . As a community leader and as an activist, the call for change was still a call she answered. Throughout the summer you would find Rita marching and protesting along side community members and allies mustering up what little energy she had to look past herself and amplify the voice of others. Today Rita is continuing treatment and fighting a battle so many women have to battle daily. All this while being an incredible mother, daughter and sister . We serve an awesome God and we believe in his healing mercy. Please help support our fundraiser to help Rita with medical bills and to relieve some of her financial burden. None of us should ever have to suffer silently. In true Rita fashion she still uses her battle with breast cancer to shed light on the need to advocate for the mental and physical health of black women. Anything you can give will go a long way. If you cant give please lift our sister in your prayers.
