All great things start with a dream. The dream becomes a vision. The vision becomes a plan. The plan becomes reality. Alex made his dream into reality through a precise vision. Farmers understand that the day you plant the seed is not the day you eat the fruit. Success is no accident. It is through hard work, patience, honesty, perseverance, learning, failing, sacrifice and most of all loving what you do. By 15 years old, Alex Durham decided his life’s plan. He was going to be a successful farmer. By 19, he found love with an equestrian Dressage rider named Sarah Pfaff and had purchased their first farm. Building their business through boarding horses and custom hay farming. Alex worked two jobs, one for the local farmer and building the new business of custom haying. Through the help of Andrew and Adam their business grew which provided opportunity to invest in better equipment. In June 2017, Alex and Sarah announced they were expecting. When Oliver arrived, Alex pushed through the long hours and also made sure he spent quality time with his two most important people. Sarah and Oliver. In April 2019, a special Easter weekend announcement was made that the Durham family was “Egg-specting”! Oliver is going to be a BIG brother this November. July 2019. Alex passed suddenly due to a tragic farming accident that has left all of us shocked and heartbroken. He has left behind his beautiful wife Sarah, son Oliver and unborn child. Sarah and the family are now in the position of paying for the funeral costs and after life expenses. More than ever, Sarah needs our help, love and support. Your support matters.
