Robert Kirby

Our beloved Robert Kirby recently passed on March 5, 2024. Robert was a wonderful father, brother, son and friend who touched the lives of those around him. He leaves behind a son, Justin, and daughter, Hallie, who are devastated by his very unexpected loss.

Robert dedicated his life to law enforcement and to the Travis County Sheriff’s Office. Anyone who knew him knew he was a hard worker and a good friend. Although he was close to retirement after having worked 21+ years at Travis County Sheriff’s Office, he just didn’t get the opportunity to enjoy the fruits of his labor.

We are all devastated by Robert’s loss and were simply not prepared for what happened, what needs to happen next and the high cost of a funeral service. He was a healthy man, and like us, many of you have expressed how surprised you were to hear of his death. We, the family, are in a difficult period at the moment due to his suspicious death and apparent physical trauma. To either give our family the closure we need or to give us the evidence we need to seek justice on his behalf, we must pay for an autopsy on our own accord. We also want to ensure we give Robert the memorial he deserves, to honor his memory and to say our final farewells.

Our family is currently asking for donations to help cover the cost of Robert’s autopsy and funeral expenses. We hope to raise $11,000 by March 30, 2024, in order to be able to afford these expenses.
