Qualin Campbell

On Friday, June 2, 2023, Talija Campbell and her two daughters' lives changed forever. Her husband, Qualin Campbell was tragically killed while sitting in his work vehicle.

Qualin was found dead after officers received an emergency call shortly after 2:00 PM on Friday, June 2. The reports fail to mention, however, that Campbell’s wife, Talija Campbell, had called 911 nearly an hour earlier to report that her husband had been taken hostage after receiving a desperate message from her husband reading “911. Send Please!.” The message also included Campbell’s location and a picture of the man who had taken him hostage. Mrs. Campbell called 911 immediately to report that her husband was being held hostage and the location where he was being held, no law officers came until Campbell was found dead having bled out from a gunshot to the abdomen roughly an hour later.

Talija and Qualin share a beautiful love story and were married seven years. She and their two daughters relied on Qualin to provide for the family. His family are having to cope with the untimely and unexpected death of their husband, father and provider.

Originally from Newman GA, Qualin was a member of Phi Beta Sigma and very active in his community. His heart for others was selfless and his commitment to serving others was unmatched.

Qualin's family is devastated and will have to pull together to face this tragedy and deal with the emotional, physical and financial effects from him unexpectedly taken from them. Qualin was a loving husband, dedicated father, son, brother, and employee.
