QueerBomb 2024 needs your help!

Just as you have, QueerBomb has struggled to make a come back from the pandemic. While money is absolutely necessary to throw this event, there are only a few of us and we NEED people as well.

QueerBomb is Saturday, JUNE 1st 2024 this year!!!

Queerbomb is proudly anti-corporate and does not allow corporate sponsorship or signage. So it's up to all of us to make it happen.

QueerBomb is Austin's FREE celebration of the two-spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual, and glitteringly expansive (2SLGBTQIA+) community deep in the heart of Texas.

5,000+ people usually attend QueerBomb, so if you and your friends have celebrated QueerBomb in the past, please chip in $5, $20, $50, or $100 right now, and we'll have the greatest explosion of queerness this state has ever seen!

During National Pride Month, Queerbomb strives to embody the courageousness of our ancestors at Stonewall and challenge corporate, whitewashed, heteronormative pride festivals that have overtaken our world while our fight persists.

QUEERBOMB IS FREE, BUT IT AIN'T CHEAP

Each year, QueerBomb grows in size, strength, and passion. However, as the crowds have grown, so have the costs. Each year we face increased fees from vendors and the City which then requires greater resources to meet the needs of our ever-evolving communities.

With your help, we can meet the substantial financial challenges of maintaining QueerBomb as a free, all-inclusive, all-ages, corporate-free, and sponsorship-free Pride event.

In order to put on this year's QUEERBOMB, we need YOU!

$5, $50, or $500 - Please donate what you can and ask your friends to donate, too!

Your much-needed donations will go to the following:

-City fees and permits. ($4255 -These tripled from 2022!)

-Fees for the space. (Native didn't charge us in 2023 but they don't exist anymore.)

-Insurance for the entire event. ($996)

-Tables for all charity Outreach. ($115)

-Sound System and Lighting. ($4132)

This $9,498 is just the bare bones event costs and does not include the merch, signs/decor, emcees, djs, or other incidentals that are needed for an event like this.

Additionally, if APD is required for any part of the event (read: parade/march), they have not been and will not be paid with donated funds. Austin's city council has covered the APD fees every year since 2017.
