Ethan's Journey
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Andrew, approximately 4 weeks ago our nephew Ethan Chamings was at Netball training when unfortunately he broke his leg just above his knee (femur). After waiting 2 hours for an ambulance his journey was about to begin.
The doctors at WCH were concerned straight away as the femur shouldn't break that easily.
He was placed in traction for over a week while lots of test were carried out, Ethan was so brave during this time. After lots of testing and MRIs unfortunately Ethan was diagnosed with a very rare form of bone cancer (Ewings Sarcoma).
We would love to help try raise some money to try ease some of the pressure on Brett and Sam who have not left Ethan's side.
Ethan has started his first round of chemo and will continue chemo for 32 weeks, after 2 cycles of treatment they will then look into how Ethan's leg will be fixed, if all goes to plan surgery will be in December.
During this time Ethan will need round the clock care, which is why we are raising money so Brett and Sam can be there for Ethan every step of the way and not have to worry about loss of income, hospital parking, transportation for Ethan to and from hospital, he has a full plaster so needs special transport to get him to hospital and home comfortably, plus other items Ethan needs at home to make his journey more comfortable.
Ethan is such an incredibly brave boy, as are his Mum and Dad and brother and sister!
Please get behind these guys, every bit helps and is so appreciated
Thank you in advance for your love and support Brett , Sam, Liyah, Rylan and Ethan will really appreciate it.
Thanks again Andrew and Deb
